- How you can help
In our line of work, we work with some amazing people and organisations. Below are some of the clinical partners that work with us every day to help save lives.
West Midland Ambulance Service NHS trust (WMAS) cover an area of 5,000 square miles, serving a population of over 5 million. About 80% of the area is rural but almost 50% of the population live in Birmingham, the Black Country and Coventry. Their emergency operations centres take almost 3,000 999 calls every single day. In 2013 that resulted in 900,000 incidents, making them the third busiest ambulance service in the country.
East Midlands Ambulance Service NHS Trust (EMAS) provides emergency 999, urgent care and patient transport services for the 4.8 million people within Derbyshire, Leicestershire, Rutland, Lincolnshire (including North and North East Lincolnshire), Northamptonshire and Nottinghamshire. They receive on average 2,000 calls a day – that’s a new 999 call every 45 seconds.
Our lifesaving missions are funded by your generous donations.
We do not receive any government funding.
