John Lewis competition winner
Delighted John Wright has got the New Year off to a perfect start after winning John Lewis vouchers worth £1,000 in our Christmas competition.
John entered our prize draw when he bought a blazer from our Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance shop in his home town of Stratford-on-Avon.
Today he collected his prize from Stratford air ambulance shop manager Sam Warwick at John Lewis’s store in Solihull.
We had a phenomenal 1,400 entries and John’s entry in the Christmas prize draw was first out of the hat.
John, aged 60, who has two children and two grandchildren, said: ‘’I go in the shop quite a lot – it’s such a good cause. I was absolutely delighted to win – it’s a really nice surprise.’’
He’s got his eye on buying a lap-top for himself with the vouchers but says he’s also been given a shopping list for toys and clothes by the younger members of his family.
Sam, who manages the local air ambulance shop in Greenhill Street, said: ”If you spent £5 or over you got to fill in a form to be entered in a prize draw. It’s brilliant that the winner was from our shop.’’
