Mission Accomplished!

We’ve completed our 25,000th mission.

Thursday night’s call out to Northamptonshire marks a huge milestone in the charity’s history.
The critical care team carried out the mission by road in the night car supporting East Midlands Air Ambulance after a report of a man unwell at home at Burton Latimer.

Director of operations Richard Clayton thanked our supporters for their help over the years.
He said: “It’s a remarkable achievement for a service that only launched in 2003 receives no government funding and relies on support from local communities to keep flying.”

To mark the occasion we’ve launched a new appeal calling for help in keeping us flying and we’re also organising reunions for former patients.

The Air Ambulance Service does not receive any government funding. Our lifesaving missions are fuelled by your donations.
